Jep, nasi goreng telur satu!

Ibn 'Umar said, "Nothing that a man spends on himself and his family, anticipating a reward from Allah, will fail to be rewarded by Allah Almighty. He should begin with those whose support is his responsibility. If there is something left over, he should spend it on his next nearest relative and then the next nearest. If there is still something left over, he can give it away."

He is bound for Australia come this March but had sacrificed his time in Malaysia for the chemoboy.

He will have his BIG day come this December which will obviously involve a significant amount of money, yet he had spent thousands of ringgit just to get by the side of his chemoboy.

He definitely does not learn mom's cooking as eagerly as chemoboy does, yet within a month he has learned to cook beef stew which is just as good as mom's, if not better.

For all the good deeds he has done for chemoboy, Allah has definitely not missed even an iota of them. How big is the reward that Allah has promised for His servant who looks after a sick person.

O Allah, bless his soul, and reward him with Jannah. Insya Allah.

p/s: Come this Monday (chemo day), I will surely miss the boy who often prepares my nasi goreng telur for lunch.

Assalamu`alaikum wm.

I am proud of both of you. I am sure that given the opportunity, Andi, "Siti Wo Aisha", Tiqah and others would do the same for you and vice versa. It's a wonderful & beautiful bond that we have in the family that some would only hope to have. For that, thank you Allah for having bestowed us with this Rahmat of His.

Don't worry for him. Insya Allah, rezeki untuk Jep telah ditentukan Allah. Ada lah tu nanti bahagian dia come December. I myself don't have that much, but then, its only money. Yes, it is a lot, but then, its only money. What is more important is for us to be together and to stand by each other in times of need. Well, you guys know all that. I am just getting old!

Afzal tabahkan hati dan kuatkan semangat. Jep and the rest of us may not be there but we are always with you dalam doa. Ainul pun dah banyak kali tanya, "bila Abang Afzal nak habis belajar dia?" "Dia dah jadi doktor ke?" Lepas tu dia tanya, "mengapa kita ada otot, Abah?" I don't know what to answer. I said, "nanti Abang Afzal balik, tanya dia!"

Take good care of yourself!

Love

Assalamualaikum my dearest,

The nickname "Chemoboy", coined by our very own family court jester, seems to bring us all feeling very close to you. I was filled with mixed feelings while giving Jep the biggest hug ever yesterday, at KLIA...feeling i was hugging you as well. It was so good seeing him again n yet so sad knowing that you are all alone again at 42 Filey Street!

My only consolation is that Azhar and M is there to take over....they may not be kin, but they are part of a wonderful bunch of friends you have amassed and I am so grateful
that they are willing to watch over you.

Jep may not be around to prepare his famous nasi goreng telur and beef stew, but you still have Azhar and M who are terrific chefs themselves.

On Feb.2nd when you visit Royal Hallamshire for your 4th dose of chemo, I will also be walking alongside you in spirit, holding your hands and praying that Allah continues to assist you as he has already done thus far.

Stay strong my dearest and we will meet again soon.....love, mama & papa.

It has been a great pleasure taking care of you and being in your company in the last 7 weeks. I have experienced a lot and learned as much in number.

I'll miss all the times I've prepared meals for you, running up and down Broomhill to prepare your nasi telur at 1130am (just to find that you have had Hallamshire's tuna/salmon sandwich). Also the days when I'll be bringing up your meals to your room in the attic and pestering you to eat.

I'll also definitely miss walking to Somerfield and Tesco to get your usual fruits and orange juice, as well as prepping our occasional scrambled eggs, potato wedges and english muffins.

And also our walks everywhere, including for that awesome pizza in Oasis.

The journey yesterday was dreadful as I kept on thinking how things would be now that I won't be able to do all these anymore for you. However, I leave it to your esteemed housemates and wonderful friends; insyaAllah my only wish is for you to keep in touch with everything.

Now I can only pester you to eat by phone, I guess. Which I'm looking forward to do. Take care of yourself, be strong and always keep up your fighting spirit that I know you have abundant in you. At days where your appetite fails you - always think of how I'd constantly pester you to eat (beginning with your fruits).

And yes, remember to ask Abg Azhar to cook your favorite beef stew. InsyaAllah lebih kurang sama la tu, hehehe.

Saying goodbye at the bus station was hardest, but I guess we have to console in the fact that all these are part of the grandeur plan that Allah has in store for all of us. Good luck on Monday, and I'll always pray that everything shall be made easier for you.
